  • "Travel UN: Middle East" is a well-designed programme with Travel UN Team professionals, who inspire all participants with their passion for their work and create a cozy family atmosphere.
It's also great speakers, incredible people in the group, vivid impressions of the place where studied events take place.
Such study trips are an excellent opportunity to

  • I really enjoyed both parts of the study programme - lectures in Tel Aviv University and visits to the UN headquarters. Also I had an opportunity to communicate with other participants who have experience in fields of my interest, it inspired me so much!

At the end of the study trip we had a breathtaking tour in Jerusalem. We drank fresh pomegranate juice, listened to stories about the city and went to churches of various denominations. I wish everybody to experience it!

I am very grateful for the opportunities, which this programme provided to me.

  • I definitely recommend this program! First of all, I'd love to mention a well-considered organization of the trip: I didn't have any questions during the preparation, as all was explained in detail, I was told and shown everything. Even if there were some questions, they were all settled rather quickly.

Secondly, I was very pleased with the price. The quality justifies it! During the trip I received tones of valuable information, which would be quite difficult or even impossible to find without visiting organizations. Then, the internship program. It was rich and well-structured. However, during the first two days I was overflown with information, but in the end, I remembered everything that I needed. As part of the program, we visited all most important international organizations and departments, talked with their representatives and got a chance to learn everything "firsthand".

Thirdly, the accommodation. The conditions were comfortable, all facilities included. I'd also love to mention short range to organizations, which allowed to save up significantly on transport.

In conclusion, I would like to emphasize the fundamental difference from popular "UN Model" programs, which acted as a determining factor for me when choosing this internship.

  • It was an unforgettable trip to Geneva. Although I've already been to Geneva 2 years ago, this internship provided me with a deeper understanding of this city, the status of the UN specialists and its agencies. We've visited about 15 international organizations, and lectures and excursions in each international organization further strengthened my understanding and interest in International Affairs. I'd say I was very busy every day in our program. I gained a lot, I had an opportunity to personally communicate with employees working in international organizations and even got their contacts. I think this is a very valuable chance. I am becoming more aware of the importance of the UN to the world and working out my career plan, and now I intend to work for the UN in the future. Thank you for everything! I won't forget this wonderful trip to Geneva!

  • I have only positive memories of this trip, I didn't even expect it to be so engaging! The educational program and briefings were held in Russian and English, so I could practice a foreign language. The information obtained in international organizations should be useful for future career and general knowledge. I would especially love to thank the team for their responsiveness, knowledge and friendly approach. I hope that the number of such trips will increase in the future.

  • The internship at the UN went in one breath – all 10 days passed unnoticed thanks to the abundance of events, each of which left a lot of memories and emotions! The presence in the UN and other organizations gave an excellent opportunity to learn more about their structure, communicate with their representatives in person and ask them questions, as well as expand my knowledge – all of this will be very useful in future. Students interested in international relations, international law and interaction between the states will definitely find something useful for them. Thanks to the variety of activities in the organizations we visited, the professionalism and responsibility of the Travel UN team, I was able to achieve my goals, and not only that. Many thanks to the team for the internship program!

  • It took me a long time to write this post, because was difficult to fit in one text so many impressions from 10 days of the program. The Russian Mission to the United Nations and other international organizations, UNICEF, UNAIDS, The World Tourism Organization, WTO, ILO, the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for refugees, WHO, The International Committee of the Red Cross and, of course, the Palais des Nations — and this is just a short list of organizations we have visited. Thanks to the Travel UN team, each of the participants got a full perception of the UN system, its structure and functions, and most importantly - getting to know and talk to people who face global problems every day and try to solve them. We have heard a lot of real stories that illustrate how difficult it sometimes is to counter threats to peace.

The team of the participants deserves special comments. Among us were guys from Vladivostok, Saint Petersburg, Moscow, Chelyabinsk, Pskov, etc. from completely different fields (Management, Urban Planning, International Relations, Philology, Law). And each of them represented a completely diversified and unique person, so it was really interesting to communicate with them.

Travel UN team, thank you again for your invaluable experience and new friends!

  • The trip to Geneva was very interesting and informative. During the program we visited the Permanent Mission of the Russian Federation to the UN and other international organizations, listened to lectures and participated in briefings at the UN Headquarters in Geneva, the Secretariat of the Global Commission on Drug Policy, UNICEF, the International Telecommunication Union, the UN Commission on Refugees, the International Organization for Migration, the World Tourism Organization, the World Health Organization, and the International Committee of the Red Cross. I learned lots of new and interesting things about the practical side of the activities of international organizations. This knowledge will be very useful for further research in the field of international law. I really liked the cultural program organized over the weekend: a sightseeing tour of Geneva and a trip along the Swiss Riviera (the Olympic Museum in Lausanne, Chillon Castle, Montreux, Vevey). I would like to say a huge thank you to Alexandra for organizing the educational internship, who helped me prepare for the trip and gave advice on various issues over the phone, as well as to the scientific coordinators.

  • "Travel UN" was a unique experience. It gave us a glimpse of how things were inside the UN and various organizations located in Geneva. We had a schedule to follow everyday and our time was well-spent. The program gave us the opportunity to meet inspiring people from different organizations who gave us insight for our future career choices. We had time to explore the city too. The program was absolutely worth it. Our organizers were courteous and were always ready to help us. Furthermore, we got to explore the beautiful cities and towns around Geneva which was really a plus.

  • Participation in this educational internship brought a lot of impressions and valuable experience. Now I have a general idea of what international organizations are doing, what their purpose is, and why they are so important to each of us. The friendly managers and wonderful Geneva helped to make this trip amazing and unforgettable.

  • The educational internship "Travel UN" is a great opportunity to get acquainted with the structure and activities of the UN, as well as its many specialized agencies located in Geneva. Briefings are interesting because they are conducted directly by employees of organizations, specialists in their field. Thanks to this, the participants can not only learn the details of working in institutions, but also ask about the practice and the possibility of getting a job in certain structures from people who are familiar with all the necessary requirements for new employees. In addition to briefings at the UN and its agencies, a meeting with employees of the Russian Mission to the UN and other organizations was also very useful and informative. In general, the internship program is quite rich and informative, so you need to be prepared for long briefings and not to count on a large amount of free time.

I would like to express my gratitude to the managers of the program for a wonderful time spent in Switzerland, for the new knowledge and skills that this internship gave! I am happy to recommend this educational program to my friends!

  • The trip to Switzerland was very intense, productive and entertaining. And all this is the merit of our group leaders. Before the trip, I was extremely skeptical about the activities of the UN and other international structures, as I could not see how all of this works in reality. In just a week, the "Travel UN" program enlightened me on how international organizations in Geneva work; moreover, it convinced me that I was wrong and that the UN's activities are necessary for the international community. As one of the lecturers said: "The world has paid too high price for the United Nations to exist. Therefore, it must not be allowed to collapse." I was a skeptic before the trip, but now, inspired by the example of the workers of organizations such as the Committee of the Red Cross, the World Health Organization, UNICEF, the UNECE Sustainable Energy Division and others, I am confident that the world is in good hands. Thanks to our organizers for this chance to touch something truly great and monumental.

  • I really enjoyed the trip. Although I am far from International Relations and mainly engaged in Economics, it was still great to learn more about the activities of the UN and various representative countries, to hear their personal opinions on various political issues (although some participants spoke without much desire, as it seemed to me).
    Milena Castro
  • Overall, the trip was successful. Accommodation wasn't the best, but quite acceptable for students. The flight and connections were convenient. The entertainment side of the trip and sightseeing tours was ok. The coordinator's approach was friendly. We would like to thank the entire Travel UN team for organizing and conducting the trip!

  • This trip was a unique opportunity to get immerse into the international world. It was the first time I went to such an internship and I am confident that it exceeded all expectations!

Those were two weeks filled with various events, from briefings at the UN Headquarters on current issues (Sustainable Development, Migration, North Korea, etc.) to with meetings with high-ranking people from the Permanent Missions of countries around the world (Germany, Japan, Syria, Senegal, etc.).

In addition to the educational program, we had an exciting cultural program: famous Broadway musicals, an excursion to the NBC Studio and the Metropolitan Museum of art, magnificent viewing platforms at the Empire State Building, and much more :)

Another great advantage of this trip was the immersion in the culture of another country: local shops, huge shopping centers, delicious food and, of course, direct communication with people.

In general, I would like to mention that the internship was as effective and productive as possible and provided priceless experience that all international students need! I will be happy to keep track of all the news about upcoming trips and will definitely take part in them!

  • This trip I can reasonably call one of the best!

Incredible emotions and impressions not only from the capital of the world, but also from people, with whom we were able to communicate during the internship, employees of organizations and representative offices!

Thanks a lot to the organizers for such a rich and interesting program, the opportunity to communicate with really interesting people who shared their experience with us.

New York is a completely different world, that is definitely worth discovering. A different rhythm of life, a different mentality – all of this makes you see at the world in a new way, inspire you to new achievements!

For me personally this internship was very important, and not only in educational way. I managed to understand what would I like to do in the future, set new goals I'd like to reach!

If an opportunity arises, try not to miss the chance with the internship in New York. This is something you will never regret! To the organizers, coordinator and all those who were involved in this trip, thank you very much for your efforts, time, patience – I wish success and development to your business!

  • The trip left a good impression. The action program was quite intense, but there also was free time; it turned out to be a good balance, in my opinion.

For me (non-expert in the field), everything was new and interesting. I can't single out any activity that would not impress me or seems uninformative. It was interesting to get to know both the structure and functions of the UN and its employees, each unique in its own way. It was a rare opportunity to learn the official position of different countries on numerous political and economic issues, as well as behind the scenes and some of the subtleties of negotiations.

I am willing to recommend this program to my friends. This is an amazing opportunity to join the field of International Relations (for specialists in any field); the organization of the business program and its components are on top. I will also consider the possibility of participating in such events in the future.

  • I will be brief - the trip was super! An excellent internship that I can recommend to both international students and people of other professions. The only thing I would change on my next trips is where I live. Ours turned out to be quite budget-friendly, but I would still like a higher level of comfort. Otherwise, it was a great trip.

    • The week in Geneva passed very quickly! Our activity program was extremely busy (seemed even too much:)), we visited many international organizations: WHO, ILO, ICRC and many others.

The UN headquarters in Geneva is located in an incredibly beautiful building, I was extremely pleased to visit it almost every day and participate in briefings! I would especially like to mention the so-called "Exchange of business contacts" - an informal evening organized by the coordinators, where we were able to meet our potential employers and exchange contacts! I hope that I have already managed to find a place for my future work :)

As for the cultural program, there was not much time for it. However, we managed to see the city, walk through its old part, along small streets, ate chocolate and, of course, no one could pass by the watch shops (we were in Switzerland!).

One day we even managed to take a train to Lausanne and Montreux – those were stunning sights, I confess! Looking forward to a trip to Nairobi: I think this experience will be like no other!

    • Thank you for the internship. It was a very interesting and motivating trip. My trip to Geneva and main international organizations, such as the Main Office in the UN, WHO, WTO, the Red Cross, and the Intellectual Property Organization, gave me an understanding of the basic principles of their functioning.

The briefings conducted by the UN staff themselves were so informative that a complete picture of the principles of its activities in various spheres and regions was formed at the end.

Now I can imagine what the organization is doing and how issues and problems on a global scale are being solved in practice. Thanks a lot to our team, and I look forward to my next trip to the UN headquarters in Nairobi!

    • Everything was very good. We returned home with ideas of where to go after finishing our bachelor's degree. Thank you to Katya and Varya for swiftly-provided information and answers to even the most stupid questions.

    • I want to express my gratitude for a well-organized and very informative internship! This is a great opportunity to get acquainted with the work of many organizations and get useful contacts! All of the briefings were quite entertaining, but the meeting with the representative of WIPO seemed to me the most interesting.
      Anna Kim
    • Thanks! It was an unforgettable trip that I will remember for the rest of my life.

First of all, I learned a lot of interesting things about the UN and the organizations that are somehow related to it, about their structure, what do they do, what are their main goals, etc. It was very informative and useful: this is the moment when learning is a joy! It was really great.

Secondly, I met a lot of cool guys, and we had much fun together in our free time. It's amazing how so much can happen in just 7 days! I'm very glad I came with you.
      Daria Pechkovskaya
    • I didn't know about the "Travel UN!" program before, but it just so happened that I went.

I was thrilled with every day I spent in Geneva! Each organization we visited left a bouquet of impressions with the notes of enthusiasm and humanism.

We were shown and told what organizations do, what their goals are. Of course, I was very lucky with the team and with the Travel UN team, who went with us, every day with these people was great.

Thank you very much for creating this program! Now I'm going to go New York!)

    • Most of all, I liked the meeting with V. I. Churkin. It was a great pleasure to get acquainted with a person who has achieved such success in the profession I have personally chosen for myself.

In the cultural part of the program, "Sleep no more" was the most impressive. It was the most exciting show I've ever been to in my life. The atmosphere of this place instantly takes you to another world, and you become a part of the show!

    • I was impressed the most by visiting missions from different countries, as it allowed us to look at the same situation from different positions and opinions.

In the cultural program, I can mention an excursion to the Metropolitan Museum, which was unforgettable thanks to a professional guide.
      Naumova Anna
    • It turned out to be an unforgettable visit to the Permanent Missions to the UN, an opportunity to understand the point of view of individual UN Member-States. You can increase the number of UN briefings to get a better idea of the organization.
