Jaffa is one of the oldest port cities on the Mediterranean coast, whose first written record dates back to the 15th century BC. Although integrated with Tel Aviv, Jaffa is quite different. Famous for its ancient slate houses and narrow winding stone roads, it feels a little similar to some ancient cities and towns in Asia, but far less noisy and not too crowded.

The first stop of the route is a fortress Masada - one of the World Heritage Site. Masada is also home to impressive ruins from the Roman era, including Herod's palace, a synagogue and an aqueduct. The second stop is Ein Gedi National Park, where you discover the Ein Gedi Synagogue, which possesses a mysterious and beautiful 3rd-century mosaic. The final is the Qumran, where you see the caves where the Dead Sea scrolls were found.
